An Amazon Affiliate Blog

The Journey & Experience Of A Fellow Amazon Affiliate

aStore, the 3rd option

with 2 comments

I have mentioned about Amazon Web Services and Various other amazon affiliate linking options. There is a 3rd option called the Amazon aStore.

Amazon allows it’s affiliates to build their own online stores which are created on Amazon’s own servers. The users have the ability to pick the products of their choice and organize them into pages, create categories, provide product search and also place additional widgets such as Similar Items, Listmania and others. This makes the aStores rather very compelling solution for those who want to build a store around a theme. Most affiliates typically create a website for a particular theme and plugin their astore into it.

aStore is for those people to whom the Amazon Web Services based store is not an option due to it’s complexity. While there are several benefits with aStore, a few major drawbacks are

  • scrolling problems and navigation problems when an aStore is put within an iframe
  • once users visit within an astore, no further statistics on what pages and products the users have visited
  • hard to do aStore SEO.
